Leaping Ain't Easy
Disclaimer: All of these symptoms below have a negative and positive side effect. The leaper may choose to dwell on the negative or he/she may choose to dwell the positive. It depends on the perspective of the leaper. Some side effects are not listed below. If you experience any unusual side effects or any of the ones listed below…be sure to contact the Lord immediately.
SOME OF YOUR CLOSEST ACQUAINTANCES WILL BEGIN TO DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM YOU.
The bad side effect is that until you realized that there is a plus side, it gets lonely and you may begin to focus on the wrong things.
The good thing about this symptom is that you have time to focus and rebuild your circle with other like-minded people.
YOU MAY NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES THAT YOU NEED
Whether it’s money, supplies, connections with people, or anything that you think is holding you back, you may not have it, or enough of it.
This side effect may cause you to compare your success to others.
The benefit of this side effect is that it creates eagerness, ambition, and the go-getter mindset you need to thrive!
YOUR PATIENCE BEGINS TO THIN
You will question why you took this leap of faith, to begin with. It sounded like a great idea in the beginning, but now things are not going the way you envisioned. You’re sowing the seed, but not reaping the harvest. You will begin to think doubtful thoughts such as if I had never left, had I stayed in my comfort zone, had I never taken that Leap of faith …I would be okay, I wouldn’t be broke, I would still have my friends, my reputation, or my sanity. This side effect is very common; yet, severe amongst new leapers. But what I didn’t mention is that while your patience is thinning, the enemy is celebrating.
The benefit is that this leap is the perfect opportunity to put all of your trust in God and allow him to take over if you have yet to do so.
The downside is that God does not work according to our time table of wanting instant results. I once heard a speaker say that God answers our prayers in four different ways:
Not right now
I will if you will
